Chelsea Heaney is back from Contiki, and after learning that Greece is not just a musical but also a country in Europe, she has some stories to tell from her time in…Vietnam.

Big Pants is an energetic 1-hour stand-up set that unearths the travel anxieties (and just regular anxieties) of life as a fat, fem, queer lady who has lost her luggage, her girlfriend, and a starring role as ‘Rizzo’ in Grease. Aside from a bounty of laughs, Heaney also packs a punch with a weaponised BFA. If you had strong opinions about Mean Girls: The Musical: The Movie but also thought that Renae Rapp was hot/10, then this show is made with you in mind.

Although this is the WA premiere of Big Pants (which only had its debut at Geelong Comedy Festival last year), Heaney’s presence and delivery is one of a seasoned pro: confident, energetic, and hilarious. I look forward to seeing her in years to come on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival stage and bragging about the time I caught her first show in the tiny/awkward set-up at Cheeky Sparrow.

Anyone who has ever felt like a bit of a loner, or gone commando for a day and regretted it, or gone overkill at Spotlight, then this show will resonate with you.
