REVIEW: Neil Simon’s Laughter on the 23rd Floor | Black Swan State Theatre
Black Swan State Theatre Company and director Kate Cherry have hit one out of the park with their production of Neil Simon’s Laughter on the 23rd Floor. Oh what a relief. Comic relief.
It is a wonderful thing as a reviewer to be able to sit back and just enjoy a show without being pulled out of the action by problems in execution or interpretation, whatever the case may be. When a show is good, it’s good to be able to take off the reviewer’s hat and be fully engaged in what’s happening on stage. Laughter on the 23rd Floor is just such a show.
